I’m Beatrice Thomas. I‘m an artist coach, grant strategist, and multidisciplinary artist & performer, who is passionate about grants education and artist entrepreneurs. My workshops webinars and online classes focus on demystifying arts funding in and entertaining and engaging manner. I have more than 15 years of experience as a working artist, administrating, curating, grantmaking and educating in the visual and presenting arts. I have deep passion for artist development, grant strategy, queer arts, and cultural equity.
I’m pretty sure I have worked in every single kind of arts context from the film industry to non-profits. I have played a variety of philanthropic, administrative and curatorial roles for the San Francisco’s Arts Commission’s Cultural Equity Grants program, First Night Austin, Flatbed Press Gallery, Center for Cultural Innovation, the Queer Cultural Center and The National Queer Arts Festival. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Hampshire College and a Masters of Fine Arts from The University of Texas.
I work closely with LGBT and POC arts communities and am committed to moving queer arts into the national area. I am dedicated to the creation of meaningful experiences and exceptional arts and culture for myself and others.
